Compostable ADU
Project 05 — Fall 2019

Bend, Oregon
Climate - Responsive Space
Passive House

Light + Materials
This studio sits lightly on site, slightly elevated on stilts. Made from fully compostable materials (wood, cork), internal systems collect rainwater from the roof to water plants, and water can collect and filter into the ground below the building. The roof tilts to filter cool northern light into the space and collect water in two distinct points (front and back).
